Carefully Hand drawn wedding stationery available in black ink or water colour- completely bespoke to you.
So you've decided you'd like something extra special and unique to you and your groom for your wedding stationery... Your wedding day is truly a reflection of you as a couple and you want this celebrated in your stationery too. You've come to the right place if you want your wedding stationery to be carefully hand drawn using traditional materials and techniques. Every stationery suite I work on begins with a good old fashioned paper and pencil; ensuring it is bespoke, individual and personal to you.
Here's how it all works:
Stage One: You contact me and we have a chat to discuss your ideas. I then send you a form to fill out to find out a little more about you and your groom, and the type of wedding you are planning. I will also ask you to tell me the quantity, size and all those extra little details that will make your stationery unique to you.
Stage Two: Once I receive your form back, I get in touch with a quote for your stationery order. This will depend largely on the amount of design work and quantities needed- but as a rough guide, I charge an art work fee of £220 (based on three separate illustrations) and add the printing quote to this. Once you have approved the quote, you pay a 50% deposit and I get going with the drawing!
Stage Three: Based on your initial concept, I complete two initial designs. At this stage, they will be rough sketches- but it will be enough for you to know what works for you I promise! I then send these to you, and the approved concept is then developed further into the final design. It's worth noting here that as all my stationery is hand drawn, it will difficult to make any orientation changes and major alterations at this stage. You can find out more about my alterations policy here.
Stage Four: This is where I work on the finishing touches and add all the text to your stationery. Once I have finshed the final design I send it to you for final approval. It's important at this stage that you check all spelling and details are correct. The final balance is then due before it's off to the printers! Your beautiful wedding stationery will then be sent to you first class recorded delivery, ready for you to send out to your excited guests...
Frequently Asked Questions....
1. What materials will you use to complete my design?
I use a combination of pencils, water colours, acrylics and drawing pens for my designs, depending on whether you want your design in black or colour. I am a trained artist and have many years experience developing my skills using a wide range of materials. If there is a particular 'look' you would like to have in the art work, please get in touch and I will be happy to talk to you about your options.
2; What paper stock will my invites be printed on?
This is really up to you. During the initlal consultation process, I will go over the different options with you. You may wish to have your invites printed on manilla card for a recycled feel, or onto 350gsm gloss ivory card for a more sophisticated look. Whatever you decide, I always use professional printing services, and spend time with them in person to finalise your design.
3. How long does it take for you to complete an order?
As a general rule, I recommend leaving 4-6 weeks for any bespoke order, 'door to door.' Depending on the time of year and the amount of art work needed, It may be more or less than that. I like to dedicate as much time as I can to each client so this may limit the number of orders I take in any one year.
Upon ordering, I will be able to give you a clear turn around time for your stationery. If you are unsure if you have enough time to order bespoe stationery, my ready-made stationery might be a better option for you :)
4. How do I change or cancel an order?
Changing an order:
There's so many things to think about when you are planning a wedding, and inevitably, you will change your mind a few times along the way! I allow for two amendments for bespoke stationery- this could be a change in quantity or an alteration in the text. It's worth making a note that because all my bespoke stationery is hand-drawn it’s unfortunately a little tricky, (not being a digitlal image), to make major changes such as changing from portrait to landscape, or a full layout change, once I have begun drawing. However, I offer a full consultation process, including giving you the opportunty to fill out a details form with all the nitty gritty, so that all the fine detail has been discussed before I begin, and this usually avoids the need for changes!

Cancelling an order
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before I begin any work, however should you change your mind and cancel your order within 7 days, you will be refunded your deposit. If an order is cancelled once part or all of the work has been completed and/or printed, any work carried out will be chargeable.
